Singer, dancer, actress, ambassador — is there anything Kat Graham can’t do? Well, judging by her upcoming project with The CW, apparently not; she’s truly a Jill of all trades!
That being said, brace yourselves for some exciting news: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the talented 26-year-old Vampire Diaries star has signed on as an executive producer for the drama From the Top, which will explore the intense, ruthless world of back-up dancers.

The series will focus on seven hard-working, passionate dancers as they strive towards their goals, eager to achieve their dreams of stardom. However, just as with any Hollywood story, fame and fortune don’t come easily; they also have to navigate a very cut-throat environment and be wary of potential backstabbers.
Kat joins Marc Cleary and Dan Richter who will be writing the script for the pilot and serving as supervising producers. As of now, she isn’t set to star on the show, but she is taking on a very hands-on approach behind the camera.
“I’m actually fully in producer mode right now, to be honest,” she told Alloy Entertainment, when we asked if she had plans to direct an episode of TVD. “I’m finalizing production on my first documentary, and I’m packaging a couple of shows.” She adds, “This is a big year not only for Vampire Diaries, but there are a lot of exciting stories to tell and songs to release. I just kinda have to focus this year and not slow down.”
Considering she’s had plenty of experience as a professional dancer herself — she’s performed alongside Missy Elliott, Jamie Foxx, John Legend Pharrell Williams, Usher, and Will.I. Am — as well as producing the film noir-inspired Muse and starring on TVD for seven seasons, it’s safe to say she definitely has the determination, skills, and expertise to create the next huge television hit.
